As part of this year’s Children in Need appeal, schools from across our Trust have been taking part in a whole range of fun-packed activities to raise money for disadvantaged children in the UK.
The charity, which hosts its November event every year, works with local communities to support children living with poverty, disability, and illness. Pupils donned their finest Pudsey-themed outfits and took part in a variety of exciting challenges, all in the name of Children in Need.
St Osyth Church of England Primary School held an all-day Danceathon which was streamed live on YouTube throughout the day. Children flocked to the playground to have a boogie to the Cha-Cha Slide and the Spice Girls, just to name a few, with a couple of staff members dancing for seven hours straight!
Three pupils from Belchamp St Paul Church of England Primary School, Maryann, Phoebe, and Hannah, took part in a sponsored silence. The girls were praised for their fundraising in the East Anglian Daily Times, which raised over £400 for Children in Need.
We’re so proud of all of our schools for the extraordinary effort that they put into raising money for such an important cause. The national total for Children in Need this year was £39,389,048. Well done to all of our schools who have helped to contribute to this total.
