Year Six children at Orsett Church of England Primary School enjoyed two weeks’ worth of fun activities, including a trip to Electric Gamebox and Pizza Express as an end-of-year treat. The children loved experiencing surround sound and touch screens in a hyper-immersive game room, where they spent the hour searching for rare Martian minerals and collecting coins in an ancient temple. From immersing themselves in the world of VR to hosting a competitive water fight on the school field, the children threw themselves into the celebratory activities.
Parents and carers of the Year Sixes gathered at St Giles’ Church to enjoy an emotional leavers service, which was made even more special by the fact that it was the first time in the last two years that the school was able to come together in the church. Reception children presented their Year Six ‘Buddies’ with thoughtful gifts, including hand-painted stones that they had decorated to say thank you. The celebrations were finished off with a final balloon release, with the Year Six children being clapped out by the rest of the school.
